Without the people of New Zealand actively fighting the battles for our native flora and fauna Projects like this would surely fail. The Kereru Awhina Project honours this commitment by providing funding each year to aid these groups in the work that they are doing.
The Kereru Awhina Project will receive and consider all applications that are in line with the National Strategy, benefit all people of New Zealand, are in the best interest for Kereru and are not for personal or commercial profit. All applicants will receive a written response.
Each year the Project seeks applications for funding. The applications must be in line with our Project strategy (click here to download The Kereru Awhina Project Strategy).
It is impossible to honour every application, and we encourage those that were unsuccessful in the coming year to apply again
next year.
The annual deadline for applications is 31st March. Any applications received after this date will be considered in the following year's funding review . (This date may change at any time)
In this section you will find guidelines explaining who can, and a self explanatory application form. If you have any concerns regarding the application please make your concerns known via our email address info@kereru.org.nz and these will be addressed as soon as practicable.
If you as an individual or your group are successful with your application a representative will make contact with you to discuss the finer details of the funding.
Once you have printed and completed this form, please mail it to the following address:
